Great fun. Ended up creating a new blank database and uploading last sundays backup in the finish, kind of unethical and non-geeklike but there ya have it, it worked grand. Daily automatic backups by wordpress are a godsend. Things are returning to normality somewhat, now to remove some administrator privileges :-) Every time we uploaded a new post it was creating 40 of them for some reason. Great fun.
